TEACHING
Teaching has been part of my artistic journey from the very beginning. Over the years, I have worked with students of different ages and levels, from people discovering dance for the first time to students and professionals looking to deepen their practice.
I began teaching at the Municipal Dance School of Torrelodones and later, during my time in Querétaro, combined teaching with my work as a performer and choreographer. Upon returning to Madrid, I joined the ACADE team as a classical dance teacher.
During my time in Germany, I continued to develop my teaching practice, particularly in contemporary dance, working with amateur dancers, students and professionals. I was also involved in the professional training of Volkstheater Rostock and taught at spaces such as Dance Professional Mannheim, Aki Kato Tanzforum and EinTanzHaus.
In 2025, after returning to Spain, I joined the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Teresa Souan Bernal in Murcia as a substitute teacher, while continuing to teach in other contexts, including for Volkstheater Rostock.
I see teaching as an extension of my own artistic research. I am interested in working with a body that is available, aware and curious, combining technical tools with opportunities for exploration, improvisation and decision-making. For me, training is not only about preparing the body to dance, but also about developing the ability to listen, adapt and find one's own responses.
PROFCAST
This approach to training led to PROFCAST, a project I developed in Germany to make contemporary dance training more accessible to freelance professional dancers.
PROFCAST offers training sessions through podcasts featuring guided improvisations and practices that can be done independently, anywhere and free of charge. The project grew out of a specific need: to keep the body active between auditions, rehearsals and projects, even when there is no access to a studio or a regular training group.
Each episode addresses a specific need of the performer: developing strength or endurance, exploring different improvisation prompts, investigating the relationship with space or following a guided warm-up.
PROFCAST is not intended to replace in-person professional training, but rather to offer an accessible complementary tool for those who need to keep working with their bodies during the transitional periods that are part of a freelance dancer's professional life.
The project received a grant from the NEUSTART KULTUR / DISTANZEN programme, supported by Dachverband Tanz Deutschland.
All episodes are available free of charge on Spotify, SoundCloud and YouTube.
